The postpartum care window

How a recorded birth date affects active relationships and client capacity.

Active care after birth

When a valid birth date is recorded, Ambera’s shared care lifecycle sets the postpartum window to 90 days after that date. A relationship remains active until its cutoff unless it is ended earlier or continued care is intentionally recorded.

At the cutoff, the relationship moves to inactive or previous care, stops counting toward primary active-client capacity, and loses active-care access under the shared permission rules.

Review dates and continued care

Open Care lifecycle and continued care to see the recorded birth date and relationship state. Correct a date if it is wrong and review the resulting status. Removing or changing a birth date is not a substitute for deliberately reactivating an ended relationship.

Where continued-care controls are available, review and confirm the extension. If a relationship already ended, follow the reactivation step shown. Ambera does not silently extend every relationship.

What remains

The client’s personal account continues. A relationship ending does not itself delete account history, messages, or records, and does not cancel a subscription. Backup assignments depend on their qualifying primary relationship.
