Sharing depends on the feature
Ambera does not use one visibility setting for every type of information. Current care relationships and feature-specific permissions determine which care professionals can read or change shared records.
- Personal journal entries start private. A family account can choose to share its own entry with the authorized care team.
- Daily check-ins are shared with the authorized care team; they cannot be saved privately as check-ins.
- Active linked care-team members can read the entire official Birth Preferences plan.
- Tools such as appointments, weight, and live tracking use their own shared-care permissions.
- Messages are limited to their authorized conversation access and available encryption keys.
Review your connections
No care information is shared through a pending Care Team connection or request before the required person accepts. Receiving or entering an invitation link or code does not itself grant access; the invitation must be valid and accepted.
Open Your care team to see your active primary and backup members and use the available controls to remove connections. Backup relationships remain separate from primary relationships and cover only the included clients. A professional cannot simply add themselves to your Care Team or gain care access without the required invitation and acceptance.
After sharing
Changing privacy choices or ending a relationship changes future access according to the applicable service rules. It cannot recall information that someone already received, copied, or downloaded.
